Egypt is a great place to visit especially if you’re strapped with cash. It is regarded as one of the most affordable travelling places in the world. The hotels are usually affordable because of competition between hotels that can’t be easily filled with tourists. Entrance to attractions and transportation (especially the train) are very affordable as well.

But going through different tourist destinations could be a little bit difficult and inconvenient if you visit Egypt from May to October. During these months, Egypt is a lot cooler for tourists which is a relief compared to hot months during the summer.

Alcohol is banned during the Ramadan so if you’re thinking of travelling with alcohol, don’t go there during Ramadan which is usually in August. If you want to enjoy Egypt without the crowd, visit there in April or in November.

Egypt is divided into six regions – Lower Egypt, Middle Egypt, Upper Egypt, Western Dessert, Red Sea Coast and Sinai. Your preferred area should be dictated by your preferred tourist destination. The most popular sites are usually found in Lower Region where Cairo, the capital of Egypt is located. Giza Pyramids and the national museum are located here. The Middle and Upper Egypt are not that popular but you can still find relics as well as temples in those areas.

Don’t think that Egypt is all sands. Go eat of the country and visit Hurghada. There you find resorts at very affordable rates and beautiful beaches popular for its amazing experience for scuba divers.
