If you are thinking about doing some leisure travelling, or you are doing some travelling for your company, you need to look out for the ever growing travelling scams. Whenever you travel to a new location, the locals there will sometimes try to make a quick buck. Today we are going to talk about ways that you can stay safe by avoiding international travel scams, and keep your money in your pocket.
Take it Slow
First of all, you have to never be in a rush. When you are hurried, you do not think straight, and it’s easy for people to scam you in shops, in cafes or in the street.
Another thing to watch out for is fake cops. It’s very easy to fool a tourist into thinking that you are a cop, and the locals in that area of the world will do that to you in a heartbeat. When this happens, they will take your stuff and keep it. After all, what are you going to do about it? Thus, always ask to see identification for any kind of cop.
Taxis
In some countries you can also encounter fake taxi drivers or taxis without a licence. Usually they will charge you more for the travelling because they know that you don’t know the place and the shortest ways to get somewhere. Being prudent while travelling is important in order to have a good experience wherever you would travel.
