When you are thinking about traveling to a place in the United States, one of the first places that comes to mind is Las Vegas. This is a hot spot for people both in the United States and outside the United States. There is a lot to see and do there, but you have to know what you are doing. This is a big place, and it’s easy to get overwhelmed very quickly. That is why we are going to go over a few Las Vegas tips that you should keep in mind before going.
First of all, get to your hotel early. Even if your hotel does not allow early check in, you should be able to leave your bags with the bellman and be on your way.
There is too much to see in Las Vegas than to have to worry about a check in time. Also, keep in mind that most taxis can not take traveler’s checks, meaning that if you are planning on taking a cab, you might as well get some cash before leaving the airport. After all, if you are taking a cab to your hotel, you are not going to get very far without some cash.
Also, be sure to watch out for canvasters. These are the people who stand out on the side of the road and hand out fliers. Many people think that this is illegal, but it is not. After fighting with the city council for many years, these people finally did win their right to hand out information. If you do not want to hear what they have to say, then just keep walking. They are not aggressive people.
Now the question is what to wear. Well, Las Vegas is a desert, and the temperature can be over 115 degrees in the summer. However, if you are going in the winter, you will want a light jacket. After the sun goes down and the wind starts blowing a light jacket is a welcome sight. Also, keep in mind that it’s hot outside, but it’s cold inside. For some reason the casinos like to keep it freezing inside so you may want a light jacket as you walk around.
