Family Holidays on the Beach

The beach is a place for the whole family. Adults and children alike could enjoy the water while those who wanted to work on their tans or just have fun in the shore could enjoy the sands. The view of the beach is often stunning and different facilities are always there to improve the experience.

Babies Beach

The beach is also the place for babies. Infants should be acquainted with the water as soon as possible to prevent any phobia and get them to enjoy water. But this is also a dangerous place for babies. The heat of the sun could easily affect the skin of the infants. Sunburn might be fine for adults and young children but infants will be greatly affected by sunburn and they might develop into complications. Prevention should be the first order of business when you decide to take your baby to a beach or any tropical destination.

When you’re bringing a baby to the beach where the sun is hot, do not just bring a sunblock. Although this will provide protection from the heat of the sun, it will never protect your infant from another effect of the sun: dehydration. Heat will easily drain the water in the body of anyone especially for the infant. You need to replenish their body with water constantly to avoid dehydration.

Ultimate Comfort

Comfort is also important for your baby. Even though they are protected from sunburns, they are not protected from heat. The easiest way to dispel heat is to bring lots of baby powder. It’s a simple solution and will go a long way in protecting your body. Even you can use the powder to get comfortable in the midst of heat.

    So good to see a blog about travelling or holidaying with families. We are a famil of five travelling in South America and we have found very little if anything out there geared towards families – not just in Bolivia but travel sites in general. I think more and more families will be travelling – come on travel industry wise up! Antonietta

Hotels are usually offering volunteer trips related to the environment. If there’s a nearby chain in the area, the hotel will most likely offer the tour wit accommodation for free.

Non-profit organizations are also offering volunteering experience for a few days. Aside from local sites, they also have tie-ups to different international organizations which enable them to offer this type of experience to other countries.

If you’re being asked for a fee to volunteer, never hesitate to ask how much of the fee will go directly to the community. Sometimes organizations will just extract money from the volunteers and keep it for profit instead of giving it to the community. To be safe, work with well known non-profit organizations so that you can give back to the community without being ripped-off.
