Propeller Island: remarkable hotels

Even if it sounds like a book by Jules Verne, Propeller Island is a unique hotel in Berlin where you can find the most unusual rooms. Travel Clever guarantees that you did not even dream about something like that. You can find the hotel on 58 Albert Achilles Street in Berlin and be ready to have your imagination challenged.

Check in and choose the Gruft. It is a double room, in case you need company to brace yourself up (or to double your fears) and the beds are actually wooden coffins with lids and “deadly” comfort.

This room is good for those who like to party and return just before the sunrise and want to spend the day sleeping. Close the coffin lids and… sweet nightmares! If you can’t sleep (every vampire is allowed to have a sleepless moment once in a blue moon) you can kill some time into the labyrinth below the coffins.

Some other rooms the hotel has: The Chicken Curry room with an Indian charming atmosphere, a room with green leather walls where you can enjoy the silence. In Grandma’s room everything is old. The toilet and the shower are hidden in an antique wardrobe.

In Upside Down room the furniture hang from the ceiling and the beds are located below the floor level. As soon as you wake up you will feel like in a surreal painting.
Enough details to convince you to spend your nights at Propeller Island? You will enjoy your stay!

  • Very interesting article. These kinds of hotels are something different and I am sure they have lots of tourists. For a special visit to Berlin it is interesting to spend the night in such a hotel. The good news is that they have a room to match almost every taste, which is great.

I am not sure I would like to sleep in a coffin for the time being, but I would gladly spend time in the other rooms.
