Gladstone Hotel: remarkable hotels

If you happen to spend some nights in Toronto, you might need a hotel recommendation: 1214 Queen St West is the place for you. At this address you will find a unique art hotel with rooms designed by talented artists.

The Gladstone Hotel building is about 100 years old but the exceptional design of each room makes the building so special and modern. The rates for a designer room starts from $185/night and rooms can be booked via email.
For example room 301 is called Sky Gazer Room. The walls have cloudlike forms and all you have to do is gaze at the “sky”. The predominant colour of this room is white.

Room 302

Room 302 was inspired by the bikers of the 70s. The accessories in this room remind of the decorations on the motorcycles: stars, vivid colours and of course – leather. The walls are decorated with pictures of Peter Fonda from “Easy Rider”.

Room 405 is called parlour of Twilight. The colours in this room are purple, fuchsia and blue. The windows have Venetian blinds and the ceiling is covered by shimmering tin. Shadows of plants are cast on the walls to give the inhabitant the idea of serenity and sensuality.

Room 415 – Snapshot combines custom furniture with unusual shapes and also unusual use of photography.
Gladstone Hotel also has a ballroom, exhibition space, conference venues and an art bar.
