One of the most exciting aspects about the world becoming closer together due to the concept of intercontinental travel is the fact that countries that never before had anything to offer in terms of tourism are now starting to become tourism powers into the next century. For people that have been to all of the major classical tourism destinations, this is a very comforting aspect because it ensures that they will still have some place to go to in the future.
The African Continent
Good examples of emerging travel destinations are the countries located in Africa. Many of these countries such as Kenya, Nigeria, Tunisia and Morocco have started to become tourism draws because of the fact that they have interesting weather combined with interesting local life as well as affordable accommodation.
Real estate often has a way of fueling tourism because people can just travel to that place every year and that is why many places in Africa are now starting to become emerging travel destinations.
Africa is not alone in this however. Places in Asia such as Vietnam and places in South America such as Columbia which were previously places of great suffering and death have reformed over the years thanks to foreign infusion of capital and now also represent top tourism destinations. Overall, it seems as though it is possible for any country to grow its tourism industry to a respectable size and because of that the future of travel is very exciting indeed.
