Hawaii is undoubtedly one of the best places to go for a vacation. But its popularity is matched by the steep prices. If you’re planning to go to Hawaii with the whole family with only $1,500 in your hands, forget it. That budget will not cover the prices for the airline tickets alone for a family of five.
But although you’ll have to spend a little bit more in Hawaii, it doesn’t mean that you have to spend thousands of dollars just to get the family enjoy the islands. There are actually ways on how to save a little bit in Hawaii.
First is it sacrifice a little bit and head off to the small islands. Instead of Big islands and Ouahu, consider the smaller islands of Molokai and Lanai. The second way of being affordable while in the island is to go inland. This is recommended for those who insist in going to the Big Island. Sure you may miss the sound the waters on the beach but you are closer to the natural beauty of the Big Island. There are lakes, rivers and waterfalls that could be perfect for the whole family. The advantage of going inland is that you’ll be able to enjoy the waters without the heat of the sun and possibly, the crowd.
