Jersey – a magnet for your money

A few miles south from Normandy, France there is an island called Jersey. It’s an island which is politically affiliated with the Isle of Man but has independent operation which is almost the same as a country. Its location and little political affiliation have made the island popular for different financial services which have contributed to the prosperity of the island.

But as an island, it is naturally attractive for tourists. Its location has made Jersey a recipient of an almost perfect weather condition all year long. It’s a place where moderate climate is always the order of the day. The sun is not too hot but the wind is not too cold either.

Around the island different castles and museum could be found. One of the must visit castles is  Elizabeth Castle. The structure is actually not located in the island itself but a very small island (islet) located in St. Aubin’s Bay.

You can visit the castle everyday at noon. Another interesting place to visit in Jersey is the War Tunnels which were used during World War II. Artistic exhibitions such as paintings and sculptures could be found in different parts of the tunnel. These were donated by popular artists as commemoration to those who suffered while building the tunnel for the Germans.

To fully enjoy Jersey, a visit during the summer season is a must. Although in most parts of the year the island is a great place to stay, the fun really happens during summer as the number of tourists increase which also improves the services in the island.
