Located in the southern end of England is the picturesque and beautiful county of Bath. It is one of the oldest tourist attractions in England and has attracted tourists for centuries. Named after their main tourist attraction, Bath is well known for their historic and still functional bath houses.

Traveling to Bath, England

Because of the popularity of Bath, tourists have a variety of options in reaching the historic county. Tourists coming outside of England can arrive by plane to the Heathrow International Airport with a two hour drive to Bath. A popular alternative is with a bus ride which leaves every 20 minutes from the airport.
Many tourists take the rail option from the airport to Bath. Travel time is also 2 hours and the train station in Paddington offers a direct route. Gatwick, Stansted and London Luton airports also offers access to Bath with available connections to train stations.

The best way to enjoy Bath is to disregard any mode of transportation within the city. The roads are quite small and you could get stuck in heavy traffic. Walking or hiking in Bath is very enjoyable because of its great natural sights and countryside.

  • This looks like a lovely city, much better than the other cities like Cardiff, Aberdeen that I visited about a year ago.
    I have got to divert my flight from Cardiff to Bath the next time I visit. Hopefully that will be pretty soon since England is such a lovely country!
