The city of Paris is divided into 20 districts in central Paris and 2 additional districts outside the city center. District 1 is at the middle of city which exactly starts in Notre Dame. Figuring out the districts in Paris is actually easier if you find the Notre Dame. The next district is found on top of the first district and moves clockwise from that point.

The two outside districts in Paris are called La Defense and Les Banlieues – both located in the western end of the city. The least expensive accommodation could be found in these districts but a little bit far from the 1st district.
