Skiing in Italy

Italy is one of the few great destinations for skiing. Italian Alps and Dolomites are just perfect for winter vacations. In fact, one region here hosted the 2006 Winter Olympics! For some great skiing action, don’t forget about the famous Alps and ski resorts in Italy.

Here are just a few of the several ski resorts that you may want to visit.

First of course is the former host of the Winter Olympics. Ski Piemonte is where the 2006 winter Olympics was held and if you choose to have your ski vacation here, you can imagine yourself skiing just like the Olympic skiers and try some of the tricks they’ve done. That is, of course, if you are just as good as they were.

Second great place to go to would be in Courmayeur. Here you won’t just have fun skiing but you’ll enjoy the beautiful scenery as well. It’s one of the best resorts in Italy as you’ll find several shopping malls and great Italian restaurants to satisfy your other interests. They also have great night life here as well.

Cervinia is the best option if you want to travel for cheap. Here you’ll find delicious Italian foods and you can drive around their village as well. It’s a great place to have your winter vacations whether or not you’re a fan of skiing. It’s less expensive but you’ll get just as much fun as with more expensive ski resorts. You can shop, dine, skate and ski in Cervinia without worrying about burning your pockets.
