Tip number one, be sure to have a carry on bag. Once you get to the boat, you are going to want to head to your cabin. However, you can not expect your bags to show up for a good while. Thus, it is a good idea to make sure that you bring some toiletries and some clothing in a carry on bag.
Next, be sure that you pick up a map of the ship. Now, this may sound funny, but if you never been on a cruise before, and you choose a huge ship for your cruise you are going to be shocked at how big these things are. It is very easy to get lost while looking around the boat trying to find where the dinning room is!
When traveling around the ship, be sure to walk to wherever it is you are going. You can take elevators, but they are normally small and pretty packed. By walking around the boat, you can sometimes come across little shows that you did not know were playing. Not only that, but you will often run into some people that you would like to talk to. After all, everyone is always in a great mood.
Last, but not least, do not go making a lot of noise at night. Cabins are pretty close together, and if you are slamming your door at night, you are going to wake people up. Nothing gets people grumpier than when they are woken up at night by people being loud. This can turn a cruise into a nightmare pretty fast.
