Is Paris really the most romantic city in the world?

The French supposedly possess the language of love and have the greatest cuisine but is the city the ideal place for couples to visit?

We hear that if Romance is in the air France is the place to visit. The French supposedly possess the language of love and have the greatest cuisine but is the city the ideal place for couples to visit?

Attractions

While some couples will want to stay in their hotel all holiday, others will want to explore the surrounding area. Many couples will enjoy the famous attractions on offer from the Musee d’Orsay art gallery and the classic Notre Dame Cathedral to the world famous Eiffel Tower. While places will cost you money to visit, there are many galleries and museums in the area that are free of charge, perfect if you don’t have a big budget.

The River Seine

The River Seine runs through the centre of Paris and is a great way to see the city with a partner. Relax in the boat as you drink champagne and see the great architecture of the city. Travelling around the area as the sun goes down may well be the most romantic moment from your holiday. This is definitely something that you won’t forget quickly.

Cuisine

We couldn’t talk about Romance in France without mentioning the food. They say the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach and if that’s the case France is the place to be. The French have a world renowned cuisine that can be explored in many forms throughout the city. We recommend the Carré des Feuillants or Le Grand Véfour to those with a large wallet or the Cafe de Flore and Le Procope to those that want to spend less.

Overview

With many great attractions, amazing food and romantic locations such as Canal St Martin and the LLe de la Cite, the city definitely has locations to melt any romantic’s heart.  If you are in love you will probably just want to spend time with each other. A trip to Paris will definitely give you that chance as well as a selection of great things to do together.
