When travelling to Brazil, you will need to have a visa. You can apply for a visa at the Brazilian embassies, and they are normally good for up to 90 days. If your visa runs out while you are in Brazil, you can apply for another that will last another 90 days.
Before you can travel to Brazil, you do have to have a vaccine for yellow fever. You are not allowed to travel to Brazil without first having this vaccination. However, this is for your own well being, because yellow fever can be a problem down there if you are not use to that area.
The currency for Brazil, which is known as the Real, fluctuates a lot. Thus, you never know what it is going to exchange over to. However, it’s normally about 1.15 to 1.20 Reals for a dollar. Just for personal informality, you should also make note that the language used in Brazil is Portuguese.
People who are not from Brazil are told not to drink the local water, and to get all your water bottled. Also be sure to pay attention to what time zone you are in when in Brazil. There are four times zones that Brazil falls into. If you can remember these tips, then you will be just fine.
